Temple Grandin is one of those amazing people who seem to emerge from their own ground of being. She considers herself a high functioning autistic. Grandin has earned a Ph.D, a professorship, and has designed the cattle chutes for most of the feed lots in the U.S.
Her success owes in large part to what others might consider a disability. Because of her autism, Grandin has an uncanny ability to know how animals think. She uses this studied and measured intuition in her work and teaching. She's also an author.
